Amanda Seyfried secretly gives birth to second child with Thomas Sadoski

Amanda Seyfriend and husband Thomas Sadoski have confirmed they have welcomed their second child, surprising their army of fans.

The Mamma Mia actress gave birth to a son but hadn't previously revealed she was expecting.

Amanda, 34, also shares daughter Nina, three, with Thomas, 44.

The excited parents announced the birth of their son through International Network for Aid, Relief and Assistance and War Child USA, two charities that they support.

Amanda and Thomas shared an adorable snap of their newborn on the charities Instagram page alongside the statement: "We are so happy to join with INARA to be the first to announce that our ambassadors Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski welcomed their second child into this world."

The couple went on to say: "Since the birth of our daughter 3 years ago our commitment to the innocent children that are so brutally affected by conflict and war has been a driving force in our lives.

"With the birth of our son, the work of INARA and War Child has become our North Star."

Amanda and Thomas are yet to reveal the name of their son.

The pair met while working on The Way We Get By back in 2015 and started dating in 2016 after working together once again on the film The Last Word.

Shortly after, they became engaged and married in secret in 2017 while they were expecting their first child.

Thomas revealed their happy news during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, saying: "We eloped. We just took off into the country with an officiant and, just the two of us, and we did our thing."

Speaking to People magazine last year, Amanda admitted she was finding it difficult to plan a second child.

She said: "If it happens to you, you just make it work. I want to get pregnant again, but I'm not ready just yet to have a second. I would like my daughter to be in school and then have my own time with a new baby. But it's so hard to plan."
