Ariana Grande Confirms 2020 Grammys Performance Amid Late Ex Mac Miller's Album News

Singer-songwriter Ariana Grande had an impressive 2019. And now, she’s kicking off 2020 with a performance that is sure to be legendary. At the same time, the family of her late ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, has revealed some news about his music. Has she responded yet?

Ariana Grande dated Mac Miller

One of Grande’s most high-profile relationships was with Miller. The two first became acquainted back in 2012, working on the song “The Way” for her debut album, Yours Truly. They remained friends but didn’t begin dating until 2016.

Grande and Miller attended a few events together during their relationship, including the MTV VMAs and an Oscars after-party in 2016. Miller also performed at Grande’s One Love Manchester benefit concert in 2017. They ended things at some point in 2018 before she began dating Pete Davidson.

Despite their breakup, there didn’t seem to be any ill will between the two musicians. Grande’s relationship with Davidson remained a hot topic of conversation for months, while Miller focused on his career and his 2018 album Swimming.

On Sept. 7, 2018, Miller was reported dead. The cause of death was an accidental drug overdose, according to reports. Grande responded on social media by posting a photo of him with no comment. A week later, she shared the above video, along with a caption in which she expressed her anguish over Miller’s passing. Grande and Davidson broke up shortly thereafter.

Over the past year-plus, Grande has remained laser-focused on her career. She put out an album titled Thank U, Next, toured for both that album and 2018’s Sweetener, won a Grammy, topped the charts, put out a live album, and much, much more. She has not been in any public relationships.

Grande had been set to perform at the 2019 Grammy Awards — however, there was a creative disagreement of sorts, and she pulled out. It appears that they’ve managed to put aside their differences now, as the artist has announced she’ll be performing at the awards show on Jan. 26, 2020. She’s also nominated for five awards, including Album of the Year.

The album is due out on Jan. 17, 2020, and an “immersive listening experience” will take place in Los Angeles. The first single from it, “Good News,” was released on Jan. 9, 2020. All information regarding his music thus forth will be shared via a separate social media account, @92tilinfinity.

Will Grande acknowledge Miller’s music?

Grande has a lot going on in her life, including taking a little bit of a break after her very long 2019 tour. But some fans may be wondering — when will she acknowledge Miller’s new release? We have a feeling she’ll wait until Jan. 17, so stay tuned.
