Benny the Butcher Joins Don Q for Blaring Trap Single "Legends"

Don Q has called in Benny the Butcher for a brand new single titled “Legends.” Following his collaborative track “Flood My Wrist,” with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Lil Uzi Vert, from last month, the Bronx rapper has delivered yet another trap-tinged banger, accompanied by a candid music video.

Measuring at a little over the three-minute mark, the song is doused in charged-up instrumentals of fast-tempo hi-hats and blaring bass drums. Diving straight into the track, Don Q kicks things off with the hook, “All I want is my flowers given to me, while I can smell ‘em / Don’t wait ’til I’m dead and gone, to tell me how I’m a legend,” followed by a verse packed full of braggadocious lines like “You got a better chance dodgin’ a shark tryna row a paddle / I told ‘em if I depart then my city gon’ mold a statue.” Benny the Butcher, penned the second verse, delivering a slightly more articulated flow in contrast to Don Q’s laidback cadence. To finish things off, the rapper ups the ante with lyrics like “could’ve been Malcom X but I’d rather be Rich Porter / After a big order, clappin’ a Sig Sauer.”
