BBC Breakfast presenter Bill Turnbull discussed his prostate cancer on the news show earlier today, leaving Dan Walker and Naga Munchetty nearly in tears as he thanked his "remarkable wife" for her support.
The former BBC Breakfast presenter was diagnosed with prostate cancer in March 2018, and has openly discussed his journey and treatment on his new Channel 4 documentary Bill Turnbull: Staying Alive.
Bill, who presented the morning news programme from 2001 to 2016, admitted he has been "blown away" by well wishers.
"I’m very lucky to have a truly wonderful family, and a remarkable wife," he said.

"It has been very difficult, but if you have love in your life, and enough of it, it really does carry you through. And I’ve been really blown away by people wishing me well – and all those things really count."
He continued: "I’m going to live for as long as I’m going to live for. Whatever happens, happens. I can help make myself better than great.
"I don’t think you can battle against cancer, I don’t believe in the vocabulary of being an adversary, of being in opposition, I don’t think that helps.

"I think what we need to do is, well here’s a situation how can I help myself get from a position of being ill to not being quite so ill or being healthy. Let’s work together with the body to do that.
As the interview wrapped up, Naga Munchetty declared: "I love you, Bill. Miss you. I’m sending you a big hug.
And co-host Dan Walker chimed in: "Lovely to talk to you. We get asked so regularly how you are, and how you’re doing, so it’s lovely to have you on the programme today for so many of our breakfast viewers to see you’re looking well and feeling well too."

Bill has been vocal about his cancer diagnosis, and is currently championing a change in laws surrounding medicinal cannabis.
While he has tried mainstream medicines, Bill revealed he's keen to try other remedies – from smoking cannabis, a medicinal treatment still illegal in the UK, along with extreme diets.
During the documentary, the news anchor admitted he doesn't know how long he has left to live, and has undertaken nine rounds of chemotherapy and is having injections of a tumour-busting radioactive substance, Radium 223.
