Boy George doesnt regret Im A Celeb stint but still doesnt understand show

Pop sensation Boy George admitted that he "doesn't regret" his time on I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! last year, but confessed that he still doesn't understand the hugely popular ITV show.

On Thursday (February 23), the Culture Club frontman, 61, sat down with radio presenter Jackie Brambles on Greatest Hits Radio and had a very candid conversation with her about his time on the reality show.

Loyal viewers of the winter series will remember that the Karma Chameleon singer left a lasting impression on viewers at home despite being the fourth celebrity to be booted from the jungle.

During his time on the programme, the singer shared his love of meditation and entertained his fellow campmates with his larger-than-life personality.

Now, almost three months after the series ended, the chart-topper shared his confusion about the series as a whole after his two-and-a-half week stint.

He explained: "I don’t regret doing it, but I don’t necessarily understand the show. I feel like what went on in there wasn’t shown [on screen].

"We had such a laugh and there were some amazing conversations, a lot of intimacy but there was quite a limited narrative that went out."

"I mean you can’t spend 24 hours with someone and not have a decent conversation – I didn’t just talk about mushrooms!" he chuckled.

The Love Is Love singer went on to point out that he felt his portrayal on the show was a little "one-dimensional" as he shared his disappointment that viewers rarely saw another side to him on the show.

Boy George added: "I’m not a one-dimensional human being and there was a slightly one-dimensional portrayal.

"But having come out of the jungle the amount of people that have come up to me and said I should have won is hilarious. I’m like why didn’t you vote for me then!"

The hitmaker also discussed what it was like to get fired by Malcom McLaren and shared his thoughts on why William and Harry are like Liam and Noel Gallagher.
