Sam Asghari has hit back at accusations he is controlling his chart topping wife Britney Spears – praising fans who have raised concerns as "just being protective".
The actor and model, 28, has been wedded to …Baby One More Time singer Britney, 40, since June, with the pair finally able to tie-the-knot after the singer regained control of her life following the end of her conservatorship in November last year.
However, Some fans have sparked online rumours that Sam has been controlling Britney – who has regularly stripped online – with some suggesting he oversees her social media posts.

However, the Hot Seat actor laughed off the accusations when confronted while out and about in Los Angeles this week.
The US website TMZ asked him if he was controlling what his wife can and cannot do, to which he answered: “No, I don’t even control what we have for dinner.”
He added: “You know, in the past, there has been a lot of stuff going on, so I understand where [fans are] coming from," explaining: "They’re just being protective. If anything, they’re being good fans”
Earlier this month, Britney temporarily deactivated her own Instagram page, and during her brief virtual disappearance, Sam wrote online: “Sometimes it’s good to take a break," adding "She has her voice and is a free woman.
"I have respect for her privacy and I protect it at all times. Thank you to all of her protective fans.”

While fans have expressed concern over some of the X-rated images and videos that Britney, who has two teenage sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline, has shared, fresh concerns have been raised over more recent posts.
