On Feb. 11, BTS‘ new song “Stay Alive” dropped. The song features vocals by Jungkook and was produced by Suga. “Stay Alive” is part of the official soundtrack for BTS’ webcomic 7FATES: CHAKHO. Along with the digital song, a promotional video with Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook set to “Stay Alive” was released.

“Stay Alive (Prod. SUGA of BTS)” was first teased during the fourth episode of the webcomic 7FATES: CHAKHO, which became available on WEBTOON on Feb. 4.
The song was officially released on Feb. 11, and it was highly anticipated among BTS fans due to Suga and Jungkook’s involvement.
According to a press release, “‘Stay Alive (Prod. SUGA of BTS)’ is a pop ballad that exudes a dreamy, sublime energy that complements the storyline and atmosphere of the urban fantasy story that portrays confrontations between humans and the Beom tribe in a corrupt world. BTS’ SUGA took on the role of producer of the song while Jung Kook’s soulful vocals capture the essence of the story’s characters and narrative.”

In 7FATES: CHAKHO, Jin appears as Hwan, Cein is based on Suga, J-Hope plays Hosu, Dogeon is inspired by RM, Jimin appears as Haru, V plays Jooan, and Zeha is inspired by Jungkook.
The full version of “Stay Alive” is 3 minutes and 30 seconds long. To coincide with the release of “Stay Alive,” a promotional video featuring a condensed version of the song was also shared online.
Throughout the video, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook of BTS appear as live-action and animated versions of their webcomic characters. The promotional video helps showcase the song’s message and how it relates to the story of 7FATES: CHAKHO.
“I’ll stay by your side even if my feet bleed / Please, you stay alive / You are my salvation / No words can express it enough / Please, you stay alive,” Jungkook sings in “Stay Alive.”
What is ‘7FATES: CHAKHO’?
7FATES: CHAKHO is a weekly webcomic on WEBTOON. The first episode became available on Jan. 14. 7FATES: CHAKHO is one of three webcomics that features HYBE artists. Dark Moon: The Blood Altar features ENHYPEN and The Star Seekers includes the members of Tomorrow X Together.
According to a press release, 7FATES: CHAKHO “follows seven young men bound by fate. After growing up together through a series of trials and tribulations, they must become a unified group of seven to unlock their destiny. 7Fates: CHAKHO is an urban fantasy story set in the near future, inspired by the ‘Chakhogapsa’ tiger hunters of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea. The story reimagines traditional Korean tiger tales and a mythological world of wild beasts.”
