Caroline Flack’s tragic last social media post after Love Island star found dead

TV presenter Caroline Flack has been found dead aged 40 – and she last posted on Instagram just one day ago sharing a series of adorable snaps with her dog.

The former Love Island presenter has been on a social media "silence" since Christmas following her assault charge after an incident with tennis ace boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Sharing an adorable snap with her 2.3 million Instagram followers, Flack was smiling while cuddling her pooch, Ruby.

Her snap racked up a staggering 122,000 likes but the star disabled the comments.

The post came hours after boyfriend, Lewis Burton reached out to her via the photo-sharing site, despite a court order banning them from contacting one another.

Lewis, 27, had previously commented on a video shared by Caroline's pal Mollie Grosberg which showed her smiling and joking as she enjoyed a day out rock climbing.

Caroline had previously revealed she had been advised to keep away from social media as she awaited trial for the assault on her boyfriend.

Christmas Eve saw the presenter share a snap to her Instagram page alongside the caption: "Been advised not to go on social media… but I wanted to say happy Christmas to everyone who has been so incredibly kind to me this year…..

"This kind of scrutiny and speculation is a lot to take on for one person to take on their own… I'm a human being at the end of the day and I'm not going to be silenced when I have a story to tell and a life to keep going with…

"I'm taking some time out to get feeling better and learn some lessons from situations I’ve got myself into to. I have nothing but love to give and best wishes for everyone."

Before Christmas, Caroline had liked a string of Twitter posts including the Samaritans hotline.

One tweet said: "Hard time of year for a lot of folks. Suicide Hotline 116 123 (Samaritans) A simple copy and paste might save someone's life. If you are struggling, please please talk to someone."
