Cheryl has told how her six-year-old son, Bear, with Liam Payne has realised both of his parents are famous.
In the sweet reveal, the Geordie singer and former X Factor show judge confessed her young son thinks "it's pretty cool" that both of his parents are her pop stars. Sharing the personal update with British Vogue for the Girls Aloud reunion, Cheryl explained how Bear has twigged his mum and dad are bonafide celebrities.
The singer, 40, shares her six-year-old son with former One Direction singer Liam Payne, but has chosen to keep him out of the public eye. Asked by British Vogue if her son might make an appearance on stage at some point during the tour, Cheryl said: "The problem is that I want Bear to have a normal childhood.

"I don't want people recognising him on the street. But he's twigged that I'm famous. The other day he said, 'How lucky am I to have famous parents?' I said, 'It doesn't matter.' He goes: 'Yeah. But it's pretty cool.'"
Last week Cheryl and her Girls Aloud bandmates appeared on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2 to speak about their reunion. When asked about her little son Bear, Cheryl told the station's listeners: "Bear is delicious and not a baby anymore. We blinked and we're here almost seven!"
Cheryl and Liam, 30, first met when he was a contestant on The X Factor and she was a judge years previously, but did not begin dating until after her separation from ex-husband Jean Fernandez-Versini, who she divorced in 2016. Bear was born the following year over Mother's Day weekend in 2017.
The couple split up in 2018 when their son reached his first birthday, but stayed close friends and proud co-parents. Cheryl previously revealed she was considering using a sperm donor to have a second child but later decided against it.
She said her attitude changed post-pandemic, and now that there would be a bigger age gap between her children. She told Daily Mail: "I was so hell bent on having another before because Bear was at that perfect age.
"I think if you have that couple year age gap, you can still do things with them together where they're both engaged and both interested. Now that the pandemic happened in the meantime, and there's such an age gap, and I'm a bit older. I'm not so sure, honestly."
Yet she didn't rule out other methods of caring for children, noting: "Maybe adoption. I just love babies and children and I'd do anything to help or have another one around but it's not as prevalent anymore. Also in the process of the pandemic I looked around at the world and thought this world is a bit crazy. Is it a sensible idea to bring a soul into all into this madness?"
While he is still young, Cheryl has been ensuring her son's privacy is respected, opting not to show his face on social media. The Fight For This Love hitmaker revealed she tries to keep Bear away from the internet.
