Christine Lampard gushes over husband Frank in sweet birthday tribute

Christine Lampard has paid a sweet tribute to her husband Frank during the couple's sunny getaway in Spain.

The former Chelsea and England footballer – who shares two young children with the Loose Women anchor – celebrated his 44th birthday in Formentera earlier this week.

Marking the occasion on Instagram today (June 22), Christine shared a snap of her hubby as they enjoyed a glass of wine overlooking the sea.

The father-of-four beamed for the camera as he held up his glass whilst dressed a casual white t-shirt and shorts.

Meanwhile, in a second shot, Frank was seen adoringly gazing at his eldest daughter Patricia as she slept on his lap.

Captioning the photos, Christine, 43, shared: "Wrapping up the birthday celebrations for the best husband and daddy we could wish for! We love you @franklampard."

It didn't take long for the couple's celebrity friends to share their well wishes.

"Happy birthday Frank! One of life’s good guys," Kate Thornton commented.

Tanya Bardsley added: "Aw so lovely."

While Frank's former Chelsea co-player wrote: "Happy Birthday @franklampard."

It comes days after the couple were spotted partying with Wayne Lineker at his nightclub in Ibiza.

The group were also joined by footballer Jude Bellingham, who plays for Borussia Dortmund.

The outing was no doubt a well deserved break for Christine and Frank, who are proud parents to children Freddie and Patricia.

The couple welcomed their daughter Patricia in 2018, while son Freddie was born in 2021.

As well as sharing two young children with Frank, Christine is also stepmother to his two daughters, Isla, 14, and Luna, 16, from his previous relationship with Spanish model, Elen Rivas.

During an appearing on ITV's Lorraine, the star revealed how becoming a step-mum helped her prepare for motherhood.

She said: "I have had the girls since they were four and two and they are 13 and 11 so I have been through all the toddler years, the primary and secondary school bit and teenagers are around the corner.

"That is preparation, although the baby years are all new to me! So I'll take it day by day really, like every other new mum.”

Christine went on to praise the girls for helping her with Patricia when she was born, saying: “They’re brilliant.

"Even just simple things, like I'm going to nip to the shower for two minutes and I know I have the two of them there."
