Coldplay paid a heartwarming tribute to their "old friend" Darius Campbell Danesh during a performance at Wembley Stadium this week.
The band "sent love from Wembley stadium" with confetti cannons on Wednesday night (August 17) following the tragic news.
The Pop Idol singer was announced dead by his family on Tuesday (August 16), five days after he was found in his bed in Rochester, Minnesota.

The lead singer of the band Chris Martin remembered his 'old friend' before before he ended their London show by setting off confetti cannons.
Chris said: 'We are going to send love from Wembley out to the world. We are going to send to Darius' family – our old friend Darius – and to Ukraine.'
Tribute have been piling in for the Pop Idol singer, one of the first to pay his respects was former music contestant Gareth Gates.
He wrote: "I can't quite believe the news of my dear friend Darius passing. I'm heartbroken.
"Darius took me under his wind during out time in Pop Idol, like a big brother, always looking out for me and for that I thank you my friend.
"I will miss our chats. He was one of the most beautiful, intelligent and gentle souls I was lucky enough to know, a soul that lit up every room.
"Good by my friend. Forever in my heart" which he signed off with a kiss.
Pop Idol judge Simon Cowell also paid tribute.
In a statement via PA, the father of one said: "I first saw Darius on television over 20 years ago and I got to know him really well.
"He was charismatic, funny and just a great person to be with.

Television judge Nicki Chapman, who was also on the judging panel alongside Neil Fox and Pete Waterman also took to Twitter to share her respects.
She wrote: "There will only ever be one Darius Campbell Danesh
"A true gent with a kind soul & mischievous tinkle in his eye.
"From that eventful first audition on Popstars to him kindly inviting me to see him perform on the West End stage."
She concluded her message by saying: "Thoughts are with his family at this sad time."
