Coronation Street has featured some of the wildest relationships – with several of them spilling to off-screen.
The Cobbles have proved to be a successful meeting point with many of the ITV soap's stars shacking up behind the scenes – with a happier ending including wedding bells and kids.
But not all of the romances blossomed with some of the stars revealing bitter splits.

Here, we have highlighted some of the most iconic romances to take place after stars locked eyed on the Cobbles.
Rob Mallard and Daniel Brocklebank
Actors Rob Mallard and Daniel Brocklebank confirmed their relationship in 2017.
Rob (Daniel Osbourne) revealed his love for Daniel (Billy Mayhew) at the British Soap Awards that year.
He said Daniel was the "best thing I’ve taken home this year” while receiving the Best Newcomer award.
But their romance sadly came to an end just two months later, according to reports.
Sources close to the pair, previously told The Sun: “It was a lot of pressure for both of them to be working on the same show and going out – in the end, something had to give."
Second time lucky for Alan Halsall
Alan Halsall (Tyrone Dobbs) struck up more than one off-screen romance during his time on Corrie.
He got married to Lucy-Jo Hudson (Katy Harris) in 2009 before they welcomed their daughter Sienna-Rae in 2013. They divorced in 2018.
Alan then started to date Tisha Merry (Steph Britton) and the pair moved in together in 2019.
The couple recently shared their family trip to Florida with Sienna-Rae.
He shared a picture of the three of them posing outside of Cinderella's castle during their two-week trip.
Faye Brookes and Sam Robertson
Faye Brookes is said to have had a whirl-wind romance with her co-star Sam Robertson (Adam Barlow) during a break from her partner Gareth Gates.
The quick "fling" is believed to have taken place during her two weeks apart from Gates.
An insider told The Sun at the time: “Sam was a good friend and a shoulder to cry on. Before they realised it, one thing had led to another.
"But Faye was keen to make things work with Gareth and put a halt to things with Sam going any further."
Sally Carman and Joe Duttine
Viewers fell in love with Sally Carman after she started dating Joe Duttine behind the scenes in 2018.
The couple moved in together a year later and then got engaged.
She told Lorraine Kelly on Good Morning Britain: “We were friends for a while but then we started sharing puddings and I thought maybe something is on the boil.”
Sally and Joe finally tied the knot last year after their nuptials were delayed due to the pandemic.
Tina O’Brien, Bruno Langley and Ryan Thomas
Tina O’Brien (Sarah Platt) struck up a romance with her on-screen boyfriend Bruno Langley (Todd Grimshaw) when she was 17.
However, the relationship was short-lived and ended after one year.
Tina then got with Bruno's friend and on-screen brother Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw), which she admitted to finding awkward at first.
She told The Mirror in 2007: "It was five months later when I got together with Ryan and I was worried about it as he’s a friend of Bruno.
"But we worked hard to make sure there wasn’t any tension between the three of us."
A year after leaving the soap in 2007, they became parents to daughter Scarlet.
“He said I didn’t do it for him any more," she told new! magazine
Sue Nicholls and Mark Eden
Soap legend Sue Nicholls fell in love with Weatherfield’s villains Mark Eden off-screen.
The actress, who played Audrey Roberts, met Mark under a cherry tree at a party in 1983. However, they became closer when he joined Corrie in 1986.
The couple got hitched and remained married until Eden's death in January 2021.
He tragically died from Alzheimer's at the age of 92.
Charlie De Melo and Georgia Taylor
Charlie De Melo has been involved in more than one romance with a co-star.
He was first linked to Nicola Thorp (Nicola Rubinstein) in 2018, when he played solicitor Imran Habeeb.
It is believed they dated for 10 months before they split.
Earlier this year, Charlie confirmed his relationship with co-star Georgia Taylor who plays his on-screen lover Toya Battersby.
A source told The Sun: "They became great friends while playing on-screen lovers in Corrie and when they found themselves single their relationship developed into romance."
Elle Mulvaney and Liam Scholes
Coronation Street actors Elle Mulvaney and Liam Scholes confirmed their relationship last Christmas.
The loved-up pair, who play Amy Barlow and Eli Higginson, went "Instagram official" and shared a mirror selfie together.
It came after rumours started to circulate when they were spotted at Winter Wonderland in London.
