Harry Potter legend Evanna Lynch almost looks completely unrecognisable after undergoing a dramatic hair transformation.
The actress, 32, shot to fame playing Luna Lovegood in the hit JK Rowling franchise. Evanna began her career in the fifth instalment of the fantasy series – and remained with the cast until its final film in 2011.
For the iconic role of Luna, the actress had to bleach her hair light blonde from her natural dark locks. Since the franchise wrapped, Evanna kept her signature coloured locks for several years.

However, this year, Evanna revealed to fans she had decided to switch things up and posted for a completely different hairstyle. Taking to her Instagram, she shared a stunning selfie of her new look.
Posing for the camera, Evanna chopped her locks shorter and dyed them black. According to the actress, she was inspired to choose this colour because of a dream she had.
Captioning the gorgeous snap, she wrote: “Big mood shift lately. Here is my new look! I do feel blonde suits me better but lately in all my dreams I was consistently sporting these glamorous shiny raven locks for some reason.
“I felt I was being stalked by my dark and shadowy twin so I had to become her! I so want to cut it to a bob again but will wait for further dream guidance…”
Fans went wild in the comments section, with one writing: “You look amazing.” Someone else said: “You look gorgeous either way.”
Evanna’s new hair caught the attention of her Harry Potter co-star too. Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley, commented a slew of heart-eyed emojis.

Though her character seemed totally innocent with her interest in bizarre – potentially imaginary – creatures, in real life Evanna is a whole lot more down to earth. However she was in a secret relationship with a Harry Potter co-star for nine whole years.
She soon fell for one of her Harry Potter co-stars, Robbie Jarvis. Robbie played the younger version of Harry’s dad James Potter in The Order of the Phoenix, seen during a flashback scene in the fifth film as he bullies a younger version of Severus Snape.
And behind the scenes, Robbie and Evanna struck up a long-lasting romance. The pair went public in 2015 after dating in secret for seven years prior.
They started dating back in 2007. However, after the pair shared a trip to New Zealand together, they called it quits in 2016 and decided to go their separate ways – though they remain close friends.
