Ex- EastEnders star Shauna Swash has done a complete 360 with her career by launching her own coffee shop – and is "loving every minute."

Shauna's life is far different from her time as Demi Miller on Albert Square and is now enjoying a peaceful life with her pop-up in Islington, North London.

Her character Demi made headlines after she got pregnant and gave birth at just 11-years-old and became a heroin addict.

She ran away with her boyfriend Leo Taylor but he sadly took his own life.

Fans waved goodbye to Shauna's character after she moved to the Cotswolds with her on-screen mum Rosie in 2006.

Viewers even launched a petition to keep her, but were soon graced with another Swash family member as Joe's career exploded after he was named the I'm A Celebrity King in 2008.

Shauna has since bagged roles in Doctors, My Feral Heart and Top Boy but enjoys balancing her career with her 'normal' job.

The 32-year-old told The Sun: "I really fell in love with coffee and lockdown gave me the push to get out of my comfort zone and start my own business.

“Honestly, I’ve loved every minute of it. There’s only me, I run it full-time on a day-to-day basis and am your local barista in a park near to where I grew up.

“It’s allowed me to meet loads of people, like the really die-hard EastEnders fans, and become friends with them too."

The TV star, who is set to tie the knot with partner Nick Jones, says she hopes her Swash & Jones brand will become mainstream.

She added: "I’d love us to be a brand that people recognise so watch this space. Hopefully, we’ll be taking over… Starbucks who?”

Shauna also teased fans and said she would never rule out a return to EastEnders.

She says the role served as a springboard for her career and taught her invaluable skills, but she has no immediate plans for a soapland comeback.

“If the timing was right… and my brother Joe was coming back with me, then 100 per cent I'd return to EastEnders," she said.
