Jennifer Lopez's ex-boyfriend David Cruz has died at the age of 51.
J Lo and David were high school sweethearts, and dated one another for almost a decade before they decided to end their relationship.
According to TMZ, Cruz died on Saturday in Mount Sinai West Hospital in Manhattan.
He reportedly died of heart disease, and no further information of the cause of death has been released.
Living in The Bronx borough of New York City, the two started dating when the singer was just 15, and carried on their relationship throughout their early twenties
They split up in the mid-90s, before Jennifer went on to achieve international fame as a singer and actress.
Speaking about their relationship in a 2004 interview, the Hustlers star admitted: "He probably knows me better than anyone else."
Since then, Jennifer has had a string of famous other-halves, including her year-long engagement to actor Ben Affleck, and a seven-year marriage to singer Marc Anthony.
She is currently engaged to baseball star Alex Rodriguez, after he popped the question in a romantic oceanside proposal last year.
David's partner of 18-years, Isa, told TMZ: "He was kind and loving. He never held on to anything and was always very open. He was a devoted father, he helped raise his step-son who is now in the Marines.
"He loved the Yankees and Knicks. He loved going to the theatre with me.
"My favorite moment was family date night, because it wasn't just special for me but for the kids as well. He always made sure to end things with an 'I love you.'"
