Jesy Nelson opens up on unhealthy love life and admits to falling for bad boys

Jesy Nelson has spoke out about her "un-healthy" love life, confessing she's a sucker when it comes to a bad boy.

The 30-year-old ex-Little Mix star made the admission during a chat about her upcoming debut single Boyz.

She explained that she had written the lyrics while going through a break up but failed to mention which former flame had been her inspiration.

The hitmaker has now gone solo after calling time on her career as part of a girl group.

Using past romances to get her song writing juices flowing, she and described the track as "in your face."

In an interview with Noctis magazine, she explained: "I wrote it when I was going through a break-up and it’s me all over."

Jesy added: "I just love a bad boy. I say it to people all the time… it's not healthy!"

It is unclear which ex-boyfriend Jesy had been referring to but more recently she parted ways from Our Girl actor Sean Sagar – who she had dated for nine months.

Prior to Sean, the X Factor born star had been in a relationship with Love Island's Chris Hughes with the duo announcing their split in April last year.

In spite of the bombshell recently claiming that she was enjoying taking time out from love to focus on her singing career, Jesy was spotted getting cosy with her ex-boyfriend Harry James.

The pair were an item four years ago and purchased a pet Pomeranian, Reggie, during their time together.

However, if their latest sun-soaked adventure to Antigua together is anything to go by it seems the couple could be loved-up again.

Soon after their trip to the Caribbean, it was believed that musician Harry had joined Jesy in the studio.

The seemingly sudden romance has taken some fans by surprise after Jesy had explained she was enjoying being single.

Speaking to the Guardian last month, she said: "I like waking up and knowing this day is just for me and I don't need to worry about anyone but me. I'm really not looking for a relationship any more."
