Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway has reflected on the last year after her husband Derek's devastating battle with coronavirus.
Derek, 53, was left fighting for his life after falling ill with coronavirus, and remains in hospital after being taken out of a medical coma.
The GMB star's husband has remained in hospital since the end of March, making him the country's longest suffering coronavirus sufferer with nearly 200 days being cared for.
As her husband continues his battle with the virus, Kate, 53, took to social media to look back at the past year.
She shared a throwback picture posted by Global from their Make Some Noise campaign last year, which showed her performing in front of a large crowd.
The caption read: "This time last year, @SmoothRadio 's @kategarraway appeared in 5 West End Shows in 1 night for Make Some Noise!"
Kate responded: "Goodness me! What’s happened in a year.
"That was an amazing night when so many talented performers made space for my enthusiastic amateur endeavours!!!
"And for such a good cause- here’s to the day when we can all enjoy fabulous shows all over the country as freely as then."
Although Derek has been taken out of the medically induced coma and no longer has coronavirus, he is still recovering from the effects it took on his body.
According to Kate, the virus left him with severe organ damage, with holes in his heart, diabetes and clots in his lungs, as she warned he may never recover.
She also revealed he has lost over eight stone whilst being ill, admitting it was a shock when she was allowed to visit him in hospital.
Kate took an extended break from GMB to take care of their two children, Darcey, 14, and Bill, 11, but has since returned.
When asked for an update on Derek's health by her co-star Susanna Reid last week, Kate said: " "There are big ups and big downs, not big ups really, small improvements and worrying downs as well.
"But the last few days have been pretty stable, so keeping everything crossed really."
GMB continues tomorrow at 6am on ITV.
