Kim Kardahian has reportedly turned down a new campaign by fashion house Balenciaga after publicly addressing the recent controversy.
A source told TMZ that the company’s team had shown Kim a potential campaign offer for 2023 before the recent shocking adverts were released.
Kardashian is said to have now refused to work with the fashion brand after the controversy and is reportedly refusing to wear their garments at upcoming events so as to distance herself.

The reality star’s apparent decision comes after she took to social media to discuss the brand’s recent campaign, which involved children holding bears wearing BDSM-like gear, papers relating to child abuse and books on art that portrays mutilated children.
Kim famously has ties with the brand and announced that she was re-evaluating her relationship with Balenciaga.
However, the 42-year-old faced backlash over her public message for not speaking out earlier.
The Skims founder posted the update on her Instagram story but also faced criticism for seemingly not cutting ties with the fashion house, although her recent refusal seems to indicate a step in that direction.
Kim wrote: “I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been shocked and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened.”
She continued on: “As a mother of four, I have been shaken by those disturbing images. The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and anything against it should have no place in our society – period.”
Kim then signed off with: “I appreciate Balenciaga’s removal of the campaigns and apology. In speaking with them, I believe they understand the seriousness of the issue and will take the necessary measures for this to never happen again.”
Balenciaga’s disturbing adverts included documents referring a Supreme Court ruling which upheld a law that criminalises images of child sexual abuse.
Kim’s announcement comes after she has finalised her divorce settlement with rapper Kanye West.
It has been reported that the Kardashian sister now owns Kanye’s home, worth $4.5million (£3.2m).
