The ‘Big Energy’ raptress and the ‘Tomorrow 2’ emcee, both are first-time Grammy nominees, are teaming up for an exciting collaboration which will be released this week.
AceShowbiz -Latto (Mulatto) continues to shine bright as one of the biggest new artists in hip-hop. After becoming a first-time Grammy nominee with two nominations, the “Big Energy” hitmaker is teaming up with GloRilla, also a first-time Grammy nominee, for a new collaboration.
Making use of their respective social media accounts, the raptresses revealed the release date of their long-awaited collaboration. Along with a photo of the two rocking black sexy ensembles, they announced to their fans, “FRIDAY!!” Though they unveiled the cover art, they didn’t reveal the title of their upcoming collaboration.
Upon learning of the announcement, their fans were left excited. Reacting to the collaboration news, one person commented, “And that’s on period!!!!! [fire emojis] I love how much of a girls girl you’re keep that energy up!!! We need more women supporting women in the industry.” Another thrilled fan wrote, “Grammy nominees!!! Let’s goooooooooo!!”
“AINT THIS WHAT THEY BEEN WAITIN FORRRRR,” someone else added, while another posted, “OMGGGGGGG THIS BIUT TO BE ANOTHER FKN HIT!!!!” A separate Instagram user urged the hip-hop artists to “drop a lyric video!!!”
Latto also recently collaborated with GloRilla. The 23-year-old star, born Alyssa Michelle Stephens, appeared on the remix to GloRilla and Hitkidd‘s breakout hit single, “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)”. The remix also included City Girls star JT.
The upcoming track apparently wasn’t included on the list of Latto’s leaked songs. Earlier this month, a Twitter user with the username Pinkleaks shared 130 of the Ohio-born raptress’ songs. Taking to the social media platform, Pinkleaks uploaded a file claiming to hold all of the rapper’s songs, both released and unreleased.
After the songs were leaked, an old rumor claiming that Latto has a ghostwriter resurfaced. Seemingly reacting to it, Latto retweeted an old post she made on October 13 during a Twitter war with Nicki Minaj over Grammys nomination.
“I’ll post em my got damn self. They’ll all tell u I WRITE TOO!” the post read. “I heard a few of ur refs before they came out too boo. U forgot WE ALL collab w the same writers?? Difference is I don’t deny it. The world seen me writing since 16 on national TV tho.”
