The ‘Big Energy’ hitmaker is urged to ‘continue popping’ her ‘s**t’ by her fellow musicians after she responds to haters who try to take her ‘happiness’ away from her.
AceShowbiz -Latto (Mulatto) has found support in Queen Naija. The “B***h From Da Souf” hitmaker was defended by the “Hate Our Love” songstress after she responded to online trolls who discredited her success.
On Monday morning, April 18, Latto tweeted, “If I celebrate a small win it’s laughed at as if it’s ‘not enough’ (coming from ppl who’ve accomplished nothing in life) but when I celebrate a big win it’s oh just shut up and be humble… lmao y’all are literally the reason why I’ll never stop popping my s**t.” Showing some support, Queen Naija quote-retweeted, “I love this for you. Continue popping your s**t sis cause they gonna talk regardless!!” Latto then said, “Thank you Queen [red heart emoji].”

When calling out haters who criticized her accomplishments, Latto said that “it’s really crazy how y’all try to take [her] happiness away from [her] sooooo bad.” The 23-year-old hip-hop artist added in a separate post, “And it always come from a bunch of nobodies who [are] just jealous that you jumped out there and chased ur dreams cause they too scared to.”
Shortly after, a fan told her to stop “focusing so much on negativity” and urged her to “just live [her] life.” The said person continued, “Feeding into it is not going to change anything for you. So why pay attention to it?” to which Latto simply replied, “Cause I’m human.”
Latto continued calling out online trolls who try to take her ‘happiness’ away.
This all began after Latto was announced as the “first female artist in 12 years” to reach #1 at U.S. Pop, Rhythm and Urban radio charts with the same song, “Big Energy”, per Chart Data. Celebrating her new accomplishment, Latto quote-retweeted Chart Data’s post and wrote, “+ the first female rapper ever!!!”
“I’m literally living my best life!!!! UGH I COULD CRY IM SO BLESSED!!!!!” Latto added in a following tweet. “I already got next pop single too so the summer will be mine as well sorry in advance!!!!!!”
Later, many critics reminded her to keep being humble. In response, Latto penned, “Don’t talk to me about being humble. God know my heart but he also know I’m from Atlanta and ima pop it EVERY TIME. I USED TO PRAY FOR TIMES LIKE THIS!!!!!”
Latto then recalled that she once “got laughed at for having all “kid fans,” for “not having a song on the radio” as well as for “being on bubbling under.” She elaborated, “I never let y’all break my spirit cause they were still wins to me… I know my potential & im grateful for the come up.”
After The Shade Room shared screenshots of her tweets, Latto hopped in the comment section, “1st female rapper & 1st female artist in 12 years for the incompetent ones in the back!!! If it’s so easy for the label to pay for it why it’s only a handful of females w this accomplishment?!” She then concluded her message, “SUNSHINE ON ME.”
