"I haven’t been training just yet. I’m a brave girl so can’t wait to get stuck in."

Maura’s slot on the show was reportedly originally given to Amber Gill, who won this year’s Love Island, but was swiftly replaced by the former ring girl.

Explaining the reason for the change in the line up, Maura explained: "Well, a lot of people went for castings for the show and I was lucky enough to get it."

She also joked Curtis is "going to have to" give her more dance lessons in order for her to learn the routines. And while the pair’s relationship has gone from strength to strength, the couple have yet to label their romance.

When asked if they’re official, Curtis admitted they’re "going at their own pace".

He said: "We’re just as we were before, taking things as they are. We’re enjoying ourselves."

Maura playfully quipped: "We’ve been asked this question so many times!"
