Love Island star Megan Barton-Hanson has spoken candidly about her stripping past in a new video.
Wes Nelson's ex revealed the reason why she turned to stripping and opened up on her family's reaction.
To coincide with the new movie Hustlers, which features a group of strippers conning their Wall Street clients, Megan posted a video on her Instagram account.
Megan, 25, said the idea first came about when she was holidaying with her boyfriend and she saw a stripper dancing and "living her best life."
She said: "I went into stripping because I was working in a law firm for three years on minimum wage.
"I went on a holiday with boyfriend and I saw this girl stripping and I was just amazed at her confidence, and she looked like she was living her best life.
"As soon as I got home, I went to the nearest strip club and said 'can I have a job?'"
The star added: "I didn’t tell my parents at first – I told my mum I was going to become a waitress in a strip club."
Megan said her mum responded: “Why Meg? People talk – it’s such a small area around here," she added: "Then I just came out with it and said 'No, I'm actually a stripper', and then she started crying.
"After a week of working there she could see how happy I was and I handed my notice in at my legal PA job and life just changed."

Discussing her first ever strip, Megan confessed she was "so nervous and geeky at school" and had "no dance experience".
She said: "I dance like a dad at a disco. But I knew I wanted to earn money and push myself. When I first went in a girl gave me a lap dance, and then I copied her and gave her a lap dance – and that was my first experience!"
She admitted she has “received criticism” for her glamour modelling and webcam past, but confessed she’s “proud” because she’s “gone places”.
"I think people are now being seeing as a talent rather than looking down on girls. "
While she explained she went into stripping for the money, Megan discussed the other positive outcomes.
She continued: "I left with a massive group of girl friends around me, and I felt more body confident.
“After stripping, I felt like I could have taken on the world.”
Megan now focuses on her media career though, and is a brand ambassador for lingerie brand Ann Summers.
