Mark Wahlberg shows off major transformation after gaining 20 pounds

Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg takes his work seriously – especially when he needs a six-pack.

The famous actor piled on 20 pounds for one movie role by drinking a six-pack of beer and chomping on fried chicken wings.

And within the space of three weeks the actor has swapped his famous six-pack for a much more rotund frame once more.

Mark left fans gobsmacked as he showed off dramatic before and after snaps of his stunning weight-transformation.

Last month the Hollywood A-lister revealed he had enjoyed a “20-piece chicken nugget and 20-piece hot wings [bucket] from Kentucky Fried Chicken with a six-pack of beer” on the Jimmy Kimmel show.

Mark revealed he has gained 20 pounds in his reverse-fitness journey – and he has no intention of putting the brakes on just yet.

"They want me to do it as healthy as possible and I'm like 'Dude, I've been on such a regimen for so long, I just want to eat everything in sight,’" revealed Mark to Jimmy.

“I want to go bakeries. I want to go to Denny's.

“I want to get pancakes. I want to get everything I can possibly get my hands on.”

Mark posted a startling Instagram snap of himself flaunting his famous six-pack whilst flexing.

“From this 3 weeks ago, to this, now,” wrote Mark, accompanying a photo of him looking rounder on the bed to a toned shot in the gym. “Thanks to @chef_lawrence_d cooking.”

And he stressed that he’s ready to add on another 20 pounds to get even more ripped, much to the delight of his army of admirers.

"I’m up about 20," he captioned the post. "I’m going up another 20. Yes, it’s for a role."

Mark is famous for his gruelling workouts, early morning fitness starts and strict diet.

He has seen his weight fluctuate over time for various film roles, including putting on 40 pounds of solid muscle for his role in Pain & Game.

And he famously gained a whopping 60 pounds for the movies Deepwater Horizon and Patriot’s Day.

Three years ago Mark shocked his 16.3million Instagram followers when he revealed his regimented fitness and diet schedule.

The driven actor claimed that his typical day began with him waking up at 2:30 am, followed by “prayer time” 15 minutes later.

His 3:15am breakfast was followed by a workout which lasted from 3:40 to 5:15 in the morning, which he then followed up with a 'post-workout meal' and a shower.

He’d play golf, use a cryo chamber for recovery, spend time with his family, work, work out again and then hit the sack at 7.30pm.
