Michael Jackson’s INCREDIBLE generosity as huge donation revealed: ‘Inspired by him’

Michael’s Jackson’s Estate has donated $300,000 to be shared between three organisations helping with relief efforts amid the coronavirus crisis, according to Variety. The donation will be split between Three Square Food Bank, Broadway Cares and MusiCares, with each receiving a massive $100,000 from the Estate left behind by the King of Pop. 

In a statement, the co-executor of Jackson’s estate John McClain and John Branch said: “Michael’s spirit of generosity and helping others during his lifetime is legendary.

“These donations are inspired by him.”

The statement said: “The virus strikes at the heart of the communities we are close to.

“We learned today that the legendary Manu Dibango passed away from the virus. Other performers and support staff in music and on Broadway are sick or have been left without work and are facing an uncertain future.”

“And in Las Vegas, which has been so welcoming to Michael Jackson, the entire city has been shut down leaving thousands of workers and their families devastated and without income,” they said.

“This incredibly generous donation from the Michael Jackson Estate will help ensure those onstage, backstage and behind the scenes get lifesaving health care, emergency financial assistance and counselling during and after this crisis,” Tom Viola of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS said.

The Jackson Estate’s donation will reportedly provide 300,000 meals for those in need in Las Vegas as well as contributing to the the Three Square Food Bank, the largest in Southern Nevada.

Steve Boom, chair of MusiCares, said: “MusiCares is very grateful for the outpouring of generosity we’ve seen from many in the music industry to grow the COVID-19 Relief Fund.

“The challenges that our industry is facing right now are enormous.

“It is contributions such as these that will help our community survive in this unprecedented time of tremendous need.”

Jackson’s name isn’t the first famous one to give financial aid since the coronavirus outbreak became a worldwide crisis.

Rihanna’s nonprofit organisation, the Clara Lionel Foundation, recently announced it would be donating $5 million to support relief efforts.

The money is to support frontline health workers and marginalised communities.

She is said to have offered $700,000 to her home nation of Barbados to purchase ventilators needed to tackle the pandemic.

The Governor of New York Andrew Cuomo issued a personal statement of gratitude on Twitter, saying: “I want to thank @rihanna and the Rihanna Foundation for donating Personal Protective Equipment to New York State.

“We are so appreciative of your help and that of many others who have stepped up.”

Also among the stars making big donations to help fund relief efforts amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis, are Angelina Jolie, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, and Taylor Swift.

Swift appears to have been making donations to fans in need of support, with several sharing stories online of receiving money from the singer to help with bills as people struggle to make ends meet.

Elsewhere, the controversy surrounding Jackson’s life will be explored in a new documentary airing on BBC Two tomorrow night, The Real Michael Jackson.

Jacques Peretti, who has made three previous films covering of Jackson, will investigate the truth about the King of Pop and interview people on both sides of the debate which surrounds his story.
