Celebrating the hustlers who provide us with exceptional music experiences, the beer brand has launched Behind the Creative, a new initiative that spotlights Canadian musicians, dancers, choreographers, producers and writers. Each talent pulls back the curtain on their process, starting off with DJ Fafa Khan, who shares insider tips for live streaming a DJ set.
The Montreal-based DJ has made her presence in the EDM scene known thanks to an eclectic style that made her sought after for underground parties, festivals and events. Recently, she’s been providing fans all over the world with a dose of her distinctive musical style with live-streamed sets on Twitch that maintain the same energy as her in-person performances. “Online, I’m coming to a space where I get to do what I want and people tune in because they want to know what I personally listen to and what I personally vibe to,” she says. Doing things on her own terms, Fafa taps into the places that inspire her taste the most, including her hometown. “I’m really influenced by Montreal, just based on the fact that we’re bilingual here — French rap, Dancehall, Tribal…it’s been a blessing to be a DJ in this city.”
