On Sunday (November 12), the former Touch of Frost star clearly appeared to be on the mend, however, as he shared a video of himself throwing his crutches aside before strolling to the theme tune of Rocky.
Now, the veteran star has opened up to ITV's Lorraine Kelly on his progress, which is sure to delight his legion of fans. Lorraine asked: "I have to ask you, how are you feeling because you had your hip operation. We saw the video that went viral when you threw your crutches, are you ok? Are you on the mend?"
Jason gleefully responded: "Yes! I am on the mend! I am having a little trouble getting the muscles back. Because I was so in firm for two to three weeks and I wasn't using the legs at all, so that is where I am at now. I am getting it back, I am doing some exercises, but the hip itself is wonderful!"
Following his appearance fans flocked to social media to priase the actor, with one commenting on X (formerly Twitter): "David Jason is one person I could sit down and listen to with 100% concentration. Absolute legend." Another added: "Its so strange seeing Sir David Jason old. Whenever I think of him; I just picture him in Only Fools and Horses."
A third wrote: "Love Sir David…ages like a fine wine." And a fourth declared: "David Jason and David Attenborough are my national treasures. They need to live forever."
