Piers Morgan 's son Spencer has avoided Tier 4 lockdown rules by enjoying a holiday in Barbados.
Spencer, lives in London which is subject to Tier 4 lockdown rules that ban international travel.
It is believed the Good Morning Britain star's eldest son spent the festive period at his GMB star dad's Tier 2 home in East Sussex.
And Spencer, 27, revealed he is now in a warmer destination when he uploaded a shirtless snap on his Instagram page on Tuesday.
Spencer wrote with the idyllic snap: "The quarantine Christmas was worth it. Farewell to an absolute shambles of a year."
Some social media users were outraged by the photo and accused Spencer of breaking Tier 4 rules.
One wrote: "Tone deaf as usual" and "Another morgan breaking the law."
Another rage: "@spencermorgan Where you not in Tier 4."
But others were more supportive of Spencer and told how they had no issue with him leaving the UK for his getaway.
One wrote: "Does it even matter if his father is there?! I think not! They have gone to a country you are allowed to go to. Piers deserves a break with his family after working his n**s off all year! As long as Covid restrictions are followed what’s the d*mn issue? Some people really boil my p***!"
Daily Star Online has contacted Spencer for comment.
It isn't known if Piers joined Spencer on the trip but he previously hinted that the two might not be together this Christmas.
Piers shared that he had exchanged gifts with his oldest son in mid-December, Mirror Online reports.
Spencer told of his relief on December 21 at 'escaping' London for the family's country home in Sussex which was in Tier 2 at that time.
He left the city ahead of strict Tier 4 restrictions being put in place on December 20.
At the home Piers and wife Celia Walden have idyllic grounds and a swimming pool.
Piers has called for the government to maintain certain measures.
Spencer on the other hand has encouraged Government ministers to relax coronavirus restrictions.
