Elvis: Priscilla Presley discusses 'acting out his fantasies'
Priscilla Presley’s life changed dramatically after she married the most famous man on Earth at the time: Elvis Presley. Their life together was short, but they had a daughter, Lisa Marie, and made a home together at Graceland. He died in August 1977, after their divorce, but how does Priscilla spend Christmas now?
Elvis’ Christmas Album is the best-selling Christmas album of all time in the USA.
It makes perfect sense, therefore, for Priscilla to be one of the many people who have listened to his dulcet tones around the holidays.
Speaking to Closer in 2019, an insider said: “Priscilla has so many fond memories of Elvis around the holidays.
“He loved Christmas and would go all out with elaborate decorations and over the top presents.

“To this day she still listens to Elvis’ Christmas songs — it never gets old for her.
“She recently went to London to see the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra perform his Christmas songs. Priscilla was in heaven, she loves the holidays.”
She has confirmed how important he was to her in various interviews, however, one conversation shows how while Elvis’ voice is in his music, his spirit is still at their home of Graceland.
Priscilla told Today: “I feel his spirit here. Behind the gates is where he felt most comfortable, where he could just be himself.
“I can visualize him walking down the stairs. We would go out to the stables every morning and just talk. It was probably one of my favourite times.”
It seems Graceland holds almost as important a place in Priscilla’s heart as it does for Lisa Marie, who is understood to still spend Christmas in her father’s home.
Angie Marchese, director of archives at Graceland, said: “If you thought Christmas at Graceland was special before Lisa Marie was born, can you imagine what it was like the Christmas of 1968?
“Lisa is a toddler running around the house. Santa is visiting for the first time. In fact, Vernon dressed up as Santa this year.
“Elvis, Priscilla and the guys go all out that year, making Christmas so special. One of the things we still have in the archives today is a little toy that Lisa got for her first Christmas.”
Angie added: “Christmas at Graceland for Lisa is always a very special time of the year.
“In fact, today she [Lisa Marie] still brings her family here to celebrate the holidays.
“Graceland is a very special place not only for fans but also for Lisa. It’s home to her.”
Sadly for Lisa Marie, this year may be a tough time for the family after the death of her son, Benjamin Keough, in July.
Benjamin took his own life at Lisa Marie’s home, which devastated his mother and grandmother, as well as the rest of the family.
She tweeted on what would have been his 28th birthday: “My beautiful beautiful angel, I worshipped the ground you walked on, on this earth and now in Heaven.
“My heart and soul went with you. The depth of the pain is suffocating and bottomless without you every moment of every day.
“I will never be the same. Please wait for me my love and hold my hand while I stay to continue to protect and raise your little sisters and to be here for Riley.
“I know you would want that. Happy Birthday my sweet sweet Boy. You were much to good for this world.”
