Rebel Wilson flaunts 40lbs weight loss amid ‘inspirational’ fitness journey

Rebel Wilson has showed off the results of her 40lbs weight loss while she continues on her fitness transformation.

The Australian actress took a break from a hike in the Los Angeles mountains and posed in front of a picturesque backdrop of hills, shrubbery and lemon trees.

The 40-year-old stood with her hands on her hips, cinching in her plain white Disney t-shirt, which featured the brand's logo in a soft baby pink.

Rebel's long blonde locks were tossed over one shoulder with some tresses falling down her face, which had a serious gaze.

It seems the Pitch Perfect star means business when it comes to her weight loss journey and her Instagram followers are loving her dedication.

Referencing her casual work out gear, Rebel captioned the snap: "Disney Princess."

Her personal trainer Jono Castano Acero was quick to leave a comment, writing underneath: "Looking good."

One fan said: "I look at this picture and not only is it inspirational but I'm so happy for you I could cry! Well done. You are glowing."

A second said: "Looking hot, hot, hot."

Another wrote: "Good job on getting healthy I want to join you and get healthier by the end of the year. Please keep inspiring. I ran tonight but I need to keep at it you know. Ugh."

And a fourth added: "You are looking amazing! You've always been gorgeous no matter what but you're glowing!"

Rebel, who became a household name for her portrayal of Fat Amy in the Pitch Perfect movies, announced her plans to get healthy at the start of the year.

She explained that her target weight is 165lbs, around 11.7st, and she would be embarking on a "Year of Health" to meet her goals.

Rebel said: "I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food, which is going to be hard after the holidays I've just had but I'm going to do it.

"Who's with me in making some positive changes this year?"

She went on: "Even if you have to crawl towards your goals, keep going, it will be worth it.

"Try and give a little bit of effort each day. I know some days are frustrating as hell, you feel like giving up, you get annoyed at the lack of progress but good things are coming your way."
