It is believed that the ex-wife of Manchester United star Ryan Giggs, had become suspicious of Max and Maisie during the Strictly Come Dancing live tour – which kicked off in January.
After confronting Max, he denied any romantic connection with Maisie and Stacey allowed him to return to her home that she shares with her two children from her former marriage.
The publication reports that Stacey had told a pal: "Max cheated on me with Maisie. I asked him about her but he denied anything had happened.
"He said he was like an uncle to Maisie."
The close friend claims Stacey added: "After everything I’ve done for him, I cannot believe he would be so rude and disrespectful. He’s a lying dog. I feel betrayed."
In 2020 both Max and Maisie appeared on the eighteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, with the singer landing himself in ninth position and the actress taking the runner-up spot.
Maisie had been partnered with Gorka Marquez and Max with professional dancer Dianne Buswell.
The Live glitzy tour includes many of the celebrities from the most recent show and kicks off after Christmas, continuing through to February.
In March 2022, it is claimed that Stacey ended things with Max after she'd had a hunch about his connection with the soap star.
They later patched things up but again parted ways in July after it was believed fresh cheating rumours had come to light.
According to Stacey's chum, she'd "confronted" the hitmaker "millions of times" about his close bond with Maisie but he'd always denied that they were anything other than friends.
Stacey's allegations land days after Maisie and Max were spotted on a flight to Crete together and according to eye-witnesses they were not hiding their affections.
