This year’s Strictly Come Dancing celebrity line up have been paired with their professional dancing partners but Luba Mushtuk and newcomer Jowita Prytzal have been dropped from the line up and put on the reserve bench this year.
The pair will only appear in group numbers and if any pro has to drop out.
Luba stunned in the opening routine in a golden costume as she danced to Donna Summer’s disco classic I Feel Love.
While The Greatest Dancer champion Jowita showed off her skills alongside pro dancer Cameron Lombard while Anne-Marie performed Kiss My (Uh-Oh).
Disappointed viewers took to Twitter to complain about the pair being empty-handed for the series.
One posted: “Gutted Jowita doesn’t have a partner on @bbcstrictly best dancer by far!! #Strictly."
And another wrote: "Lovely Luba and Jowita benched then for this year #Strictly."
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman returned to host the 19 th series.
The judging panel looks a little different this year with Bruno Tonioli being replaced by Strictly’s longest serving professional dancer Anton Du Beke due to travel restrictions to the UK.
The BBC One series introduced their first all-male partnership on Saturday pairing former Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite with Johannes Radebe.
Rugby player Ugo Monye is paired with Oti Mabuse who will be hoping for a triple win.
While Katya Jones will be trying for gold with another Olympian as she is set to dance with swimming champion Adam Peaty.
Welsh professional dancer Amy Dowden will be taking the stage with McFly’s lead singer Tom Fletcher.
Karen Hauer, who has been a professional dancer on Strictly for 10 years, will be joining actor Greg Wise.
Gorka Marquez has been paired up with Katie McGlynn, best known for her role as Sinead Tinker in Coronation Street.
Professional dancer Neil Jones is back on the dancefloor after a short break and is paired with actress Nina Wadia, best known for playing Zainab Masood in EastEnders.
New comer Nikita Kuzmin who has worked in judge Motsi Mabuse’s dance compay in Germany is paired with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey’s daughter, Tilly Ramsay.
