The Sopranos star Bruce MacVittie has passed away aged 65.
The Law & Order star's wife, Carol Ochs, confirmed his death today (May 12), and said that he passed away on May 7, but explained the cause has not been determined.
The actor made his Broadway debut in 1983, starring in David Mamet's “American Buffalo” opposite Al Pacino in 1983.
He replaced actor James Hayden in the role of Bobby less than a month into the play’s run, when Hayden died of a drug overdose.
MacVittie became a prominent figure in New York’s Off Broadway scene, having prominent roles in productions at the Ensemble Studio Theatre, Naked Angels, Manhattan Theatre Club and several more.
Before he soared to fame, MacVittie began his TV career with stunts in 1981 on Barney Miller, Miami Vice, The Equalize, Spencer For Hire, LA Law, The Stand and Oz among other series.
