AceShowbizTyrese Gibson turns to music to pour his heart out. The Roman Pearce depicter in the “Fast and Furious” film series just announced a new double album that is inspired by his divorce from Samantha Lee.

The 44-year-old singer/actor made the announcement when speaking to Kenny Burns on Instagram Live on Wednesday, February 15. Detailing his new record, which is named “Beautiful Pain”, he shared, “I want to give y’all the heads up.”

“For all of the uber-sensitive people. One thing y’all not are gon’ do, whether I’m a man, a woman, Black, whatever – y’all not gonna be able to stop me from speaking, walking and living in my truth,” he continued. “And if your brain is triggered by a man having real conversations about his thoughts and his feelings and what he experienced and you look at that as bashing or tearing down someone because they happen to be a woman, then your whole process is wrong.”

“Because my ex is doing ‘Miracle Mondays’ all over Instagram… taking shots at me every day, called my current girlfriend a jezebel. I just want y’all to keep the same energy with people being able to express themselves,” the TGT member further elaborated. “She’s allowed to feel whatever she want to feel. She can use whatever platform she want. She can write a book, do a podcast.”

After noting that he wishes “her well,” Tyrese added, “But if you can express your thoughts and feelings and play victim, then I can express my thoughts and my feelings through my music, through me writing books, me doing interviews.” He then stated, “And you gotta hold that the way I gotta hold that because – it’s work.”

Tyrese and Samantha, who got married in February 2017 and share 3-year-old daughter together, have had a nasty divorce after splitting in December 2020. On August 30, a judge ordered Tyrese to pay Samantha $10,000 a month in child support. Though neither party will pay spousal support, the actor wasn’t happy with the ruling.

In September, Tyrese filed a petition in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia asking to replace Judge Kevin M. Farmer in his divorce case. In the petition, his lawyers argued, “Because of the unprofessionalism of Judge [Kevin],” Tyrese was unable to “get a fair trial in this case.”
