The newly-released visuals show four members of the group recording at Memphis’ famed Sun Studio and touring Graceland, which was once owned by the late icon Elvis Presley.
AceShowbiz –Maneskin have given “If I Can Dream” from “Elvis” a music video treatment. The Italian glam rock band, which consists of vocalist Damiano David, bassist Victoria De Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi and drummer Ethan Torchio, released the visuals on Friday, July 29.
In the footage, four members of the group can be seen recording at Memphis’ famed Sun Studio and touring Graceland, which was once owned by the late icon Elvis Presley. There is also footage from the new “Elvis” film.
Directed by Baz Luhrmann, the biopic stars Austin Butler, Tom Hanks, Dacre Montgomery, Olivia DeJonge and Kodi Smit-McPhee among others. The film hit theaters last month. Following its release, the movie received majorly positive reviews from critics, with an average rating of 6.8/10 on Rotten Tomatoes. Moviegoers gave it an A- on CinemaScore as people over the age of 35 made up about 65% of the audience.
” ‘Elvis’ was a risky proposition: the music is dated, the character is not directly familiar, and the lead actor is unproven on the big screen,” David A. Gross of Franchise Entertainment Research weighed in on the movie. “But critics and audiences are responding. This is the Baz Luhrmann show, a music, dance and sex appeal spectacular – it’s a hit.”
As for Maneskin, they are set to embark on their rescheduled “Loud Kids Get Louder” tour later this year, which will see them travel to North America, Europe and the United Kingdom. In a statement, the group said, “The Loud Kids Get Louder tour will actually see our very first headline tour in North America.”
“All our rescheduled European indoor dates have been upgraded due to demand + we’ve added some new ones for all of you who missed the chance to get their tickets,” the band added. “We really want to thankyou for being so understanding during this long period as we got this in place. We know you’ve been waiting patiently for this announcement, and we feel very grateful towards all our beloved fans for your love, support and understanding.”
