Once upon a time, Gwen Stefani and fellow musician Gavin Rossdale were one of Hollywood’s most desirable couples. Despite years of marriage and sharing three sons together, however, they called it quits in a shocking split. As previously reported by People, the pair first met in 1995 during No Doubt’s tour. They embarked on a long-distance relationship after Stefani’s band, No Doubt, opened up for Rossdale’s band, Bush, in London. After being an item for six years, Rossdale popped the question to the “Just A Girl” hitmaker in January 2002 and asked her to marry him. The couple walked down the aisle that December in a 17th-century churchyard in London.
Nearly two years into their marriage, they discovered Rossdale had a 15-year-old daughter, model Daisy Lowe — but that did not stop the entertainers from starting a family of their own, and in 2006, Stefani gave birth to their first son, Kingston James McGregor Rossdale. Two years later, they welcomed another boy, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, in 2008. In 2014, the duo had their third and final son, Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale.
After being together for 20 years and married for nearly 13, they announced they would be getting a divorce in August 2015. Even though neither has confirmed any of the rumors, Rossdale reportedly cheated on his then-wife with their family nanny, per the Daily Mail. Where do they both stand now with each other? Keep reading to find out.
Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale definitely keep their distance from one another
Since splitting with Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, Gwen Stefani has found love in country singer Blake Shelton. According to Billboard, the two first met while working on “The Voice” in April 2014 and officially became an item the following year in November. After five years together, Shelton and Stefani got engaged in October 2020 and tied the knot in July 2021 at a chapel built at Shelton’s ranch in Oklahoma.
Due to having three sons with Rossdale, Stefani has had to maintain communication with her ex-husband. However, the pair doesn’t appear to be on speaking terms. As previously reported by the Daily Mail, Rossdale and Stefani came into contact with one another on July 24, just weeks after she married Shelton. The duo was snapped by the paparazzi after watching their youngest son, Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale, at his football game. Both Stefani and Rossdale kept their distance and barely acknowledged each other.
Stefani was photographed watching Apollo while sitting on the bench, while Rossdale seemingly separated himself from his ex-wife and stood away from the fashion icon.
