365 DNI: Everything you need to know about the steamy Netflix film and actor Michele Morrone

Netflix fans have been raving about the latest addition to the streaming giant's roster – steamy Polish film 365 DNI.

The erotic film, which translates to '365 Days', has been compared to Fifty Shade of Grey and features hunky Italian actor Michele Morrone as the violent leader of a Sicilian Mafia family, who kidnaps a woman he saw five years ago on the day his father was murdered.

Michele's character Massimo Torricelli then gives Laura, played by Anna-Maria Sieklucka, 365 days to fall in love with him.

A ludicrous plotline, raunchy sex scenes and beautiful scenery have proved extremely popular with viewers feeling the strain at a lack of action in the bedroom department thanks to lockdown, as it hit the top ten most-watched films on Netflix after its release at the beginning of June.

Heartthrob Michele, 29, is proving to be the biggest draw for viewers lusting after the actor, whose striking good looks have already landed him a Dolce & Gabbana campaign.

Digging deeper into his Instagram page it is a riot of saucy pictures that have left fans, in particular the many shirtless snaps that seem to litter his feed.

Michele didn't just luck out in the acting department, however, he's also a talented musician and regularly posts clips of himself flexing his beautiful vocals while strumming his guitar.

Many of his songs also feature on the soundtrack for 365 DNI, the film's theme song "Feel It", along with the songs "Watch me burn", "Dark Room", and "Hard for me" are all sung by the lead actor.

While it's not clear if the 29 year old tattooed actor is single, he is divorced after splitting from his fashion designer wife of four years Rouba Saadeh back in 2018.

They share and co-parent their two sons Maraud and Brado Morrone, who Michele has posted adorable pictures of on his Instagram page. The couple appear to be on good terms and follow each other on Instagram.

Michele studied theatre at the Teatro Fraschini Di Pavia and according to IMDb he has starred on several Italian TV shows and a TV movie, but 365 DNI is his biggest hit yet.

The film is based on a trilogy written by Polish author Blanka Lipińska, with 365 Days the first novel and a sequel is already believed to be in the works with production halted due to COVID-19.

Author Blanka even has a cameo in the raunchy film playing the role of a bride and has made the top three most viewed items on Netflix across the world including the US, UK, Switzerland, Germany, South Africa, India and Canada.

The film has certainly caused a stir due to the endless BDSM sex scenes that led some viewers to believe they were real because of the fiery onscreen chemistry between the two lead actors.

Taking to Twitter one wrote: "YOU CANT TELL ME THEY DIDNT HAVE SEX HERE, THAT IT WAS FAKE, BECAUSE THAT WAS SO REAL. BREATHTAKING #365dni [sic]."

Another wrote: "I WANNA KNOW ARE THE SEX SCENES REAL IN 365DNI ? Is like the b***jobs and sex scenes are they real OR NOT !! if not, WHAT GREAT ACTORS #365dni #365dnimovie."

As clips from the film made their way around social media one person said: "Just by that small little clip going around, that boat sex scene looks way too real. S**t is intense."

But Michele confirmed that this wasn't the case in an Instagram Live he said: "It seems like real because we are good actors. It wasn't real. I know that many people write me that, 'Oh my god, it was real!' But at the same time, it wasn't real. That's impossible."

However the film hasn't been to everyone's liking who have compared it to graphic rape porn, with some calling for it to be banned because of its content.

"This movie is disgusting, extremely unrealistic, and fulfills people’s rape fantasies/kidnapping fantasies. The fact that Netflix has created a movie so drastically wrong, and the fact that it is #2 on the charts right now makes me sick for the next generation.

"This is why rape culture still exists. If you find yourself in love with this movie I think you should go to therapy. movies like this teach boys that women are objects, and that when we say no, we don’t mean it, and we are actually enjoying ourselves. I think this movie should be banned. This is an outrage to women who have ever been sexually assaulted, or kidnapped. Romanticizing abuse are its finest, and this movie is literally #2 on Netflix right now[sic]."
