Plenty of drama went down on Part 1 of TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After Tell-All, hosted by Shaun Robinson, on Sept. 27. Colt Johnson fought with both of his exes, while Angela Deem called out Michael Ilesanmi for his wandering eye.
But many 90 Day Fiancé fans were most surprised by the conflict between two seemingly unrelated cast members: Andrei Castravet, Elizabeth Potthast Castravet’s husband, and Larissa Dos Santos Lima, Colt’s ex-wife. Andrei insulted Larissa’s breast implants and other plastic surgeries, leading viewers to speculate about what his true motives were.
Andrei told Larissa she looked like ‘Michael Jackson 3.0’
On the 90 Day Fiancé Tell-All Part 1, Andrei unexpectedly began to grill Colt about Larissa’s plastic surgery.
Cracking jokes at his castmate’s expense, Andrei exclaimed that he “didn’t recognize” Larissa at all after her cosmetic procedures – which included breast implants, a Brazilian butt lift, a tummy tuck, rhinoplasty, fillers, and more.
“Colt, why are you playing with women so much, and breaking their hearts so much, that they’re changing their f*cking faces already?” Andrei joked. Elizabeth chimed in to refer to Colt’s ex-wife as a “f*cking stripper,” while Andrei claimed that fans called Larissa “Michael Jackson 3.0.”
Later, Andrei went so far as to warn Larissa that she would have to head back to plastic surgery again and again to keep up her appearance.
“That’s not gonna last forever, you know?” the 90 Day Fiancé star joked. “You’ll have to change that every couple of years.”
Some ’90 Day Fiancé’ fans wondered if Andrei might have been attracted to Larissa
Many 90 Day Fiancé fans were confused by Andrei and Elizabeth’s behavior toward Larissa. After all, they’d never seemed to have a conflict before, so their animosity seemed out of left field.
In particular, several fans took to Reddit to speculate as to why Andrei was so ready to comment on Larissa’s plastic surgery and appearance.
Some Redditors even wondered if Andrei was attracted to Larissa’s new look and felt insecure.
“Just a theory but in my experience toxic men are often cruel bullies to women they wish they could f***,” one Reddit user mused.
Others thought Andrei might be trying to hide his attraction to his castmate by cracking crude jokes at her expense.
“Couldn’t take his eyes off the tatas,” one 90 Day Fiancé fan argued. “Had to comment before someone saw him staring.”
Another Redditor agreed, commenting, “First thing that comes to mind is that Andrei thinks Larissa is hot so he has to try and cover that up by being rude to her.”
Still others thought Andrei might be saving face with his wife and avoiding conflict in their relationship by acting like he couldn’t stand Larissa at the 90 Day Fiancé Tell-All.
“Because Libby probably caught him looking at her Instagram and he was like ewwww gross let me show you how unattractive she is,” a Redditor speculated.

But others thought Andrei’s comments, although harsh, came from a more sincere place. The 90 Day Fiancé star has always seemed ready to speak his mind, so many fans thought he was simply saying what he truly felt about Larissa’s cosmetic procedures.
Many viewers thought Andrei’s distaste for Larissa’s makeover was related more to Larissa’s three children back in Brazil. 90 Day Fiancé fans have often wondered why Colt’s ex-wife remains in the U.S. while her children are in her home country. Andrei called Larissa out about leaving her kids in Brazil while she sought out surgery in Las Vegas, so many fans thought it was her parenting that he was really critiquing.
“I think he doesn’t like her because of her kids,” one Reddit user argued. “That seemed to really set him off.”
Another agreed, pointing out that Andrei was deeply devoted to his daughter, Eleanor.
“He’s a stay at home dad and Larissa literally abandoned her children in another country,” the 90 Day Fiancé viewer wrote.
Yet another Redditor point out that “[Andrei] takes care of his kid…Unlike someone who’s choosing to get plastic surgery over caring or even loving her children.”
Andrei has received both support and backlash over his comments to Larissa at Part 1 of the 90 Day Fiancé Tell-All. Fans will likely be glued to their screens wondering if the fight between Larissa and Andrei will continue on Part 2, which airs Oct. 4 on TLC at 8 p.m. EST.
