A GUEST on A Place in the Sun burst into tears after she revealed the devastating reason behind wanting to move abroad.
Presenter Ben Hillman was in the Canary Islands for Tuesday's instalment of the Channel 4 programme where he was hoping to find the perfect home for his guests Michelle and her daughter Charlotte.
After losing her mum earlier this year, Michelle wanted to buy an apartment where her husband Paul and two daughters could make some happy memories together.
The first property went down like a lead balloon, however, the second viewing was a little more promising, with Michelle labelling it as "perfect".
Michelle and her daughter were blown away by the interior and said they didn't think Ben would be able to top it.
The doting mum then revealed that her mother passed away recently, adding: "I'm just sad she'll never be able to see it but every time I come here she'll be looking down."
She added: "I can't see how you're going to beat this one. I am not very often lost for words, but I kind of am lost for words at the moment."
While Michelle and Charlotte appeared to have their hearts set on the second home, they agreed to look at another on another part of the island which included a communal pool.
However, to their surprise, they both adored the modern interior of the third apartment, with Michelle revealing to Ben: "It's making my head spin."

After the viewing, Michelle said the third property had trumped the previous apartment.
In the end, they purchased the house for £120,000 and Michelle tearfully said: "After a hard couple of years this has been amazing."
A Place In The Sun continues weekdays at 3pm on Channel 4.
