A Place in the Sun buyer left in tears minutes after stepping into property

A guest on A Place in the Sun got emotional when she found her dream property after a long search with her husband.

Couple Taz and Tracy, who both live in London, turned to host Scarlette Douglas for help to find a one-bed house in Cyprus with a budget of £60,000.

Appearing on the Channel 4 show on Wednesday (March 17), Scarlette takes them to a stunning two-storey property in the area of Protaras and the couple reveal that they had previously viewed other houses on the same complex.

As they step into the property, Tracy looks around the living room starts to well up.

Scarlette turns to the couple and asks: "Aw, you’re getting emotional. What is it? What are you thinking?"

Struggling to get her words out, she tells her: "I’ve been looking for two years and this is what we’ve been looking for.

"It just feels fantastic."

Taz embraces his wife and adds: ""We’ve looked for a long time to find the dream place.

"Yes, we are picky but you walk in and think 'that view', it’s just a killer."

Taz and Tracy are already taken away by the view before they get to look inside the house.

"I’m lost for words," the husband says.

After viewing four other properties, the couple decide to put in an offer of £55,000 for their dream house.

Their initial offer was turned down, but with their budget of £60,000, they upped the money to £58,000 which was accepted by the owner.

Meanwhile Laura Hamilton, another host from the show, snapped when her guests suggested there's "too much work" to renovate in the property she showed them.

She told the guests: "Shall we lock up and leave then?"
