A Place in The Sun: Guest unhappy with property
Craig Rowe was left taken aback during the latest A Place in the Sun after a guest was left unimpressed by the look of a property he’d found and compared it to a “shed”.
Craig Rowe was in Abruzzo, Italy to help social worker Jacqui and health and safety officer Michael find their dream holiday home.
They explained how they had always dreamed of finding a great home in the mountain villages that one day could become their permanent home.
With their £70,000 budget, Craig had enlisted five properties for the couple to have a look around, but after the first was rejected, he was stunned by Jacqui’s reaction to the second.
“Property number two! The house you see before you here,” Craig exclaimed.

Immediately, Jacqui looked uncertain as she commented: “Very different. You know, the aesthetics are quite… strange.”
“Yeah,” Michael agreed before Jacqui added: “It looks to me like a shed.”
“Ah, I wanted to give Jacqui the wow factor… this isn’t doing it, is it?” Craig pointed out.
“Don’t think so…” Michael agreed before Craig added: “Well the reason I wanted to bring you here, is the layout is different to what we’ve seen before and it’s much more clearly defined.

“And also Mike I picked up on something you said actually, about outdoor space – you wanted to have room for a decent-sized table and chairs which I’ve got you here.”
The couple agreed to have a look inside the house, which included mountain views and was located in Fara San Martino.
However, it didn’t take them long to determine they didn’t like the property.
Things weren’t looking good for Craig as he had no properties in the running at this point.
Later on, the couple decided they did like one of the properties.
However, when they sat down with Craig to make an offer, it was declined by the owner, as was their counter-offer.
Craig revealed at the end of the show that the pair had tried once again with a higher offer away from the show, but were again refused.
He explained Jacqui and Michael were still looking for a property in the area.
A Place in the Sun airs weekdays from 4pm on Channel 4.
