Alison Hammond left red-faced as she makes huge blunder in link to This Morning

ALISON Hammond was left red-faced today when Ranvir Singh exposed her for getting her name wrong.

The blunder happened during a live link between ITV shows Lorraine and This Morning.

Lorraine Kelly has been replaced on her self-titled show by her colleague Ranvir, 44, for the half term holiday.

Toward the end of Monday's installment, Good Morning Britain star Ranvir temporarily handed over to Alison and her co-host Dermot O'Leary.

She said: "Alison and Dermot are here shortly. Good morning team!"

Alison, 47, replied: "Aw thanks La Ranvir."

Dermot shot her a funny look, but like a pro Alison ignored the error and told viewers what they could expect from the lunchtime show.

When she finally returned to Lorraine, a confused Ranvir remarked: "I thought you just called me La Ranvir then!"

Speaking about her branching out, she once said: "You’ve got a bit more time and because there’s just one of you doing the interview, you’re able to follow your own trail of thought and where my personal interest lies in that particular person’s story.

"It just means that you have a bit more freedom in a way to have that conversation that you find particularly poignant or interesting and can bring a bit more of myself into."
