This Morning host Alison Hammond has revealed that she'd love to be a judge on Britain's Got Talent as Simon Cowell made an appearance on today's show.
During their chat Alison quizzed the music mogul on whether the X Factor will be making a return in the future, suggesting that her co-host and former X Factor presenter Dermot O'Leary could front it.
Returning the gesture, Dermot then suggested that perhaps Alison could take a judge position on Britain's Got Talent, following David Walliams departure from the role.
Discussing this with his former co-worker, Dermot said: "Talking BGT, if you need an extra judge, I couldn't endorse her more. This one would literally bring the house down in the Palladium."
Alison appeared to become somewhat excited by this idea and could be seen jumping up excitedly, before asking Simon what he thought about this possibility.
At first he seemed unsure on how to answer, leading Alison to exclaim: "Take it to deadlock!"
Simon then responded with: "We've had this conversation before. I love Alison, you know that."
"Yeah, but he just won’t give me a job," she quipped.
It comes after David Walliams quit the ITV talent show earlier this year, after voice notes leaked in which he could be heard making derogatory remarks about contestants.
The comedian and author, 51, could be heard calling one BGT contestant a "c**t" and saying about another: "She thinks you want to f**k her, but you don't."
According to The Guardian, the "c***t" comments were made after a contestant made a jibe about David and as he walked off stage, David is said to have said the c-word three times.
After the other contestant walked off stage following her performance, David is said to have remarked: “She’s like the slightly boring girl you meet in the pub that thinks you want to f**k them, but you don’t.”
He then said again: “She thinks you want to f**k her, but you don’t.”
He is said to have continued: “I know, she’s just like: ‘Oh, f**k off!’ I was saying, she thinks you want to f**k her, but you don’t. It’s the last thing on your mind, but she’s like: ‘Yep, I bet you do!’ ‘No I don’t!’ I had a bit of a b****r, but now it’s going, it’s now shrivelled up inside my body.”
Prior to quitting the show, David released an apology for this comments, labelling them as “disrespectful”.
He said: “I would like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for Britain's Got Talent in 2020
"These were private conversations and – like most conversations with friends – were never intended to be shared. Nevertheless, I am sorry."
