Amber Gill has been axed from the Dancing On Ice line-up and replaced by her Love Island co-star Maura Higgins, according to reports.
The 22 year old winner of the hit ITV2 show was tipped to take to the ice rink when the skating show returns next year, following in the footsteps of fellow islanders Kem Cetinay and Wes Nelson.
But it has now been reported that producers have made the decision to cut Greg O'Shea's partner from the line up, and replace her with Curtis Pritchard's instead.
A source told The Sun Online: "Dancing On Ice producers were always going to sign a Love Island star for next year’s series and they wanted a girl this time after having two guys in the past.
"It was looking hopeful for Amber but Maura pipped her to the post with her sense of humour and personality.
"Maura is hoping Curtis can now teach her more moves, even though she will be on the ice."
A separate insider told the publication last month: "The Dancing On Ice casting team are delighted with the decision to snap up Amber.
"Love Island contestants always do really well on the series as they are still fresh in everyone’s minds.
"Amber is a stunning girl and they know she’ll look fabulous in all the sequinned costumes. She has a gutsy personality, too, so will make excellent viewing."

It is unclear if Maura will be the only Dancing On Ice star competing on the Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby hosted show, with Tommy Fury also said to be in talks to take part.
An insider told Daily Star: "ITV love Tommy and know he would provide great comedy as well as pull in the female viewers in skin-tight outfits on the ice."
However, they added that a final decision was yet to be made, continuing: "We are seeing lots of celebrities ahead of the final line-up being confirmed."
OK! online has contacted a representative for Dancing On Ice for comment on the fresh reports, but they previously told us: "It is too early to confirm any of the participants for the 2020 series of Dancing On Ice."
Maura's reported signing comes just days after she revealed she was taking time out of fame after admitting she felt "completely burnt out."
Speaking in a video she shared last week, Maura said: “I wanted to come on and say to everyone who was coming to see me at my PA I'm sorry that I didn't make it.

"To be honest, I'm completely burnt out – I've not had a day off since leaving the villa and I've not had any social time or anything, so I need to take a few days off and just kind of sort my head out.
"I'm completely ran down, I have been in with a doctor and I'm feeling good because last night I had a really, really good sleep, and I haven't really got a lot of sleep since leaving the villa.
"I do feel bad that I've had to cancel some work for the next couple of days, but I need to do it for me because I am shattered.
"I've not had time for just – you know normal day-to-day stuff, like go to dinner or go to the cinema, I've not had that.
"And I need to because it's good for the head to just get out and do normal things. It's a shock to the system when you come out of the villa and you're just so hectic.
"I've not had a down day. So yeah, just wanted to come on and say that. Hope everyone has a lovely Monday and I'll speak to you soon."
