Angela Kinsey, Ian Hecox to Star in New Facebook Watch Shows for Tastemade
The series are part of Facebook’s Influencer Match Program
Facebook is funding eight new shows from Tastemade that will star the likes of Angela Kinsey, Ian Hecox, and Arden Rose among others, the companies announced on Wednesday.
The eight shows, which will star both digital influencers and traditional celebrities, are part of Facebook’s Influencer Match Program, which funds celebrity and influencer-led content from select brands, including Tastemade, BuzzFeed, Condé Nast and Complex Networks.
Tastemade’s slate kicked off in March with “Fridge Face-Off” and will continue throughout December. “Fridge Fac- Off,” hosted by Kinsey and husband Josh Snyder, challenges contestants to guess the celebrity owner of a fridge based on what’s inside.
Like “Fridge Face-Off,” each of the shows will center on food in some way or another. In “Baking it Easy,” for example, actress and baking enthusiast Meghan Reinks gives viewers a step-by-step guide to a specific baking technique. The series will premiere sometime in August along with “Lighten Up with Erwan Heussaff,” which focuses on making healthy(ish) versions of unhealthy food.
Other shows on the slate include “Adulting with Arden Rose,” where the YouTuber/actress shows viewers how to take basic recipes and spice them up to impress friends and family; “Hanger Management with Rickey Thompson” is a series that provides tips on how to manage hanger; “Cooking With Pride,” a series, described as part talk show, part cooking show, puts a spotlight on the LGBTQ community through shared food experiences; and Hecox’s “Sunday at Nana’s,” which features the Smosh co-founder testing his culinary skills with sharp-witted grandmothers.
All of the shows will premiere sometime before the end of the year.
