ANGRY Coleen Rooney has sacked her lawyers amid fears her legal case against Rebekah Vardy is crumbling.
Coleen, 34 — in a costly legal battle after accusing Becky of leaking stories about her — blew her top last week when told her case is not as strong as she initially believed.
She accused key legal advisers of a catalogue of errors before sacking them.
Coleen — married to former England ace Wayne, 34 — publicly accused Becky after claiming her investigations had revealed her former friend was the source of newspaper stories based on leaks from her Instagram account.
A source said: “When Coleen posted her infamous Wagatha Christie allegations, she thought it was a total certainty she was in the right.
“But now she’s been told she may have made some mistakes along the way and is keen to shift the blame to anyone else. It’s a total mess.”
It is believed that one of the problems with Coleen’s case involves a failure to disclose a crucial detail of her efforts to catch Becky red-handed.
An insider said: “Along the way, something has been hidden from everyone else involved and it could end up costing them the whole case.
“Coleen still won’t back down — and now she’s decided who to hold responsible, she is planning to fork out big time and hire a very expensive London legal team who are specialists in media and privacy work.
“She’ll do anything in her power to salvage things.”
The Sun recently told how the warring women had failed to settle their differences through mediation.
Coleen’s representatives did not respond to The Sun’s requests for comment.
Their public clash began in October when Coleen used Twitter to accuse Becky, 38, wife of Leicester ace Jamie, 33.
She said she had secretly blocked everyone bar Becky’s account from her Instagram stories — and discovered it was the source of articles that appeared in The Sun.
Becky denied the allegations and, as the row grew, both of the women decided to take legal action against the other.
On Saturday, Becky put the legal wrangles aside as she and Jamie visited a McDonald’s. The couple were spotted heading into a drive-thru near their home in their £130,000 Bentley SUV.
They looked relaxed as they joined a long queue before placing their order.
