Ant McPartlin is back on screens once again presenting hit ITV show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
The 48 year old has become something of a national treasure thanks to his long-standing TV career alongside his good pal Declan Donnelly. Since appearing in BBC teen drama Byker Grove together in the 1990s, the pair have gone on to enjoy huge success as presenters – working on hit shows including SMTV Live, Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and Britain's Got Talent.
Ant has endured a well-documented battle with addiction – which began after he became hooked on prescription painkillers and alcohol following a knee operation in 2015. In 2018, he was involved in a car crash in London and later pleaded guilty to drink driving – getting a 20-month ban from driving.
As a result, he took a break from presenting but made a triumphant return in 2019. And two years later, in 2021, he married his current wife Anne-Marie Corbett.
Anne-Marie, 48, met Ant when she began working as his personal assistant in 2017. She has been employed by the same London-based management company as Ali Astall, Declan Donnelly’s wife, for over a decade – but only started working closely with Ant six years ago.
Anne-Marie was previously married to her ex Scott Corbett and they had two children together. But they separated in October 2017.
Ant, meanwhile, was previously married to Lisa Armstrong, 47. She was a singer in the pop band Deuce during the 1990s but left her music career behind to become a make-up artist.
Lisa, who worked on many of Ant's shows, became head of hair and make-up on Strictly Come Dancing, after stints on X Factor and Britain's Got Talent. She married the Geordie presenter in 2006 before they announced they were getting divorced in January 2018.
Ant and Anne-Marie were first seen together in March of that year. She was pictured walking his dog with him after he left rehab in April that year and the following June they were spotted again on a shopping trip at Harrods.
Sources said she was at Ant’s side when he was at his lowest ebb and her support helped him on the road to recovery.
The pair then got engaged at Christmas time in 2020 and married in August 2021 at St Michael's Church in Heckfield.
The stunning occasion was attended by their closest family and friends – including Declan Donnelly, who was best man.
Before the wedding, a source told The Sun: “Neither of them want the razzmatazz of a showbiz wedding. They just want their nearest and dearest with them.
“It will be a simple but beautiful ceremony, without the glare of the spotlight. They’re both extremely excited and can’t wait to tie the knot. But they’re desperate to keep a lid on things. Those who know have been told it’s top secret."
The pair do not have any children and, while Anne-Marie has kids from her previous marriage, Ant does not have any of his own.
