BBC Breakfast: Guest details how she and her family escaped the Hawaii wildfires
BBC Breakfast presenter Roger Johnson was slammed by viewers on Sunday morning after he seemed to “ignore” his co-star Jane Dougall whilst she was presenting in Sydney.
Discussing the Women’s World Cup, the England squad’s recent performance and how they will fair against Australia, Roger seemed more interested in what was going on behind Jane.
As she was explaining, he expressed: “Look how many ferries there are! It is busy there, you have two of them behind you.
“One has already gone past, goodness me! Thank you very much.”
Trying to salvage Roger’s comment and make Jane feel better, Victoria added: “I promise we were listening to your report as well.”

Explaining the reason behind the ferries, Jane said: “These are commuter ferries, so that is people coming back and forth, Bondi Beach, it’s just like buses here.”
Viewers of the show were left a bit unimpressed with Roger’s professionalism when it came to Jane’s report and took to their Twitter.
@UnInterlocutor expressed: “#BBCBreakfast Couch drone with the demeanour of a frightened schoolboy talking to someone in Sydney: ‘Look at the ferries! Look at them go!'”
Sydney Meyers added: “Roger could of at least pretended to be interested in Jane’s report rather than pointing out the ferries.”(sic)
@AdventureMan said: “Thank god for Victoria adding that she was listening to the report whilst Roger was watching the ferries behind her…”

@PixieWinx noted: “Roger… I saw the ferries too but come on now you didn’t need to completely ignore Jane’s report at the end there.”
Roger made a light-hearted swipe at Jane earlier on he expressed he would be “having words” with her.
Once again giving the report on the England team at the Women’s World Cup, she handed it back over to Roger and Victoria in the studio.
Roger expressed: “The excitement is building already, Jane thanks very much,” to which Victoria noted: “She is definitely living her best life, isn’t she.”
Agreeing, he added: “Definitely, I am going to have to have a word with her about the Australia-coloured top though.”
BBC Breakfast airs everyday from 6am on BBC One.
