The BBC has given viewers a sneak peek at their upcoming animated series based on Sir Quentin Blake's timeless children's books, collectively called Box of Treasures.
The first glimpse shows a snippet of Jack and Nancy, a story filled with fun, friendship and adventure. Fans will be able to watch the first two specials, Jack and Nancy and Zagazoo, this Christmas.
Each of the six episodes will feature narration from Hustle actor Adrian Lester, with Shaun of the Dead's Simon Pegg voicing characters in Zagazoo.
The collection of animated stories has been created using traditional hand-drawn animation techniques, reportedly to capture the timeless nature of Quentin Blake's stories.
Simon Pegg will also voice characters in Snuff and Angel Pavement, while Gavin and Stacey actress Alison Steadman will voice the unstoppable Mrs Armitage and Last Tango in Halifax's Nina Sosanya will bring Angela Bowling to life in Loveykins.
Meanwhile, Marks & Spencer has released a new Christmas ad after their original one faced criticism.
The British store was one of the first to release its festive advert for Christmas 2023, but it quickly received backlash. In response, Marks & Spencer have now launched another Christmas ad.
This one features the voices of actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, with comedian Dawn French playing the Christmas Fairy.
Its release comes after the retailer had to say sorry for causing upset with their original star-studded promotion.
