Gillian McKeith insists she’s not interfering with cooking
I’m A Celebrity South Africa welcomed back icon Gillian McKeith as part of a surprise Ant and Dec had set up for the group.
Her arrival did not go down well with some of the campmates, in particular Happy Mondays star Shaun Ryder, as their pair did not get along when they were in Australia together.
Shaun was not the only person to be rubbed up the wrong way by Gillian, as Carol Vorderman also lost her patience with the controversial member.
The group had been allocated various tasks with Carol being one of the camp cooks.
However, when Gillian attempted to chop up some ingredients, the Countdown star thought she was interfering.
The second camp cook, Helen Flanagan, took directions from Paul Burrell as she cut up a fillet of meat.
Carol said: “Some people aren’t so good at sticking to their chores” as she reflected on preparing the meal.
Phil Tufnell spotted Gillian cutting up some vegetables as he said: “Oh look, we have got another little cook popped up from nowhere.”
Jordan Banjo joked: “What’s that saying about too many chefs?”

Gillian snapped back: “How are we interfering? We are not cooking, we are chopping. There’s a difference.
“Chopping isn’t cooking.” Then addressing viewers she added: “I’d like to have chopping as part of my role now because it clearly is camp maintenance.
“I can’t understand why anyone wouldn’t see that?”
Viewer Kerry J took to Twitter after noticing the problem, saying: “Gillian interfering again. Is your name Carol or Helen? You aren’t the camp cook#ImACeleb”
She thanked Janice Dickinson and Jordan Banjo for winning the stars which earned them the meal.
However, she was clearly left riled by the group’s remarks about her getting too involved with the preparation.
I’m A Celebrity airs on ITV on weeknights at 9pm.
