Shortly after the massive bombshell in EastEnders that revealed Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) is still alive, it was confirmed that she didn’t need to live undercover as Rose Knight anymore and could return to England from France if she wanted to.
Cindy had been living as Rose after her arrest over 20 years ago. During that period, she was in a relationship with George (Colin Salmon) and also gave birth to Anna (Molly Rainford) and Gina (Francesca Henry).
Anna and Gina are aware that their mum upped and left the family, with the mystery surrounding her disappearance prompting Anna to try and find out the truth.
After finding Cindy’s number, Anna is annoyed in upcoming episodes and leaves her mum a message over her radio silence.

Over in France, as the text comes through, it’s spotted by Peter (Thomas Law) who eventually discovers from Ian (Adam Woodyatt) that he has two sisters.
Peter agrees to keep the discovery a secret from Cindy, but he then hops on the Eurostar and makes his way to Walford, determined to meet his new siblings.
As Peter gets settled back into life in Albert Square, he tries to help Bobby (Clay Milner Russell) with plans to stop the chippy from being sold, but ends up back at the pub again to spy on Anna and Gina.
There’s trouble ahead as Ben (Max Bowden) then arrives to give Peter a mouthful, and Gina reveals how Bobby is smitten with Anna.
As the week draws to a close, Peter is on the phone to Cindy, who can sense that something is wrong.
While in France, Cindy tells Ian that she’s off to Walford to collect Peter but knowing that George and the girls are there, Ian convinces her not to leave by insisting that he’ll make Peter come home instead.
But will that even work?
Or will Cindy head to London anyway, ready to confront her past?
